The next step is now manufacturing and assembly of the various components FMB Oxford factory. When the units are ready they are tested at the factory. Pending succesfull tests they will

Contract for X-ray optics has been awarded

The contract for the X-ray optics for the beamline was awarded to FMB Oxford Ltd. FMBO will deliver all of the optical components in the beamline and parts of the radiation safety equipment. The preliminary design is ongoing and the components will be delivered in the fall of 2019.

The call for tender for the DanMAX X-ray optics has been published

The specifications for the X-ray optics for DanMAX has been finalised and the call for tender has just been published. You can find the call for tender on Tenders Electronics Daily: http://ted.europa.eu/TED/notice/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:93496-2018:TEXT:EN:HTML

The DanMAX undulator has arrived at MAX IV

Yesterday the DanMAX 3m long in-vacuum undulator arrived at MAX IV after a long trip from Hitachi Metal Ltd. in Japan. Today it has been unboxed and we were able to get a first look. Once installed the undulator will deliver the most brilliant X-ray beam at MAX IV. Before shipping the undulator went through
