This course is an experimental part of the cross-disciplinary course “MAX IV/ESS-based imaging for medical and biomedical research”. The main purpose of the course is to educate graduate students on the utilization of X-ray facilities. The course will provide a practical users’ guide to planning and conducting microscale imaging and spectroscopy measurements including X-ray fluorescence imaging. Students will conduct a short experiment at MAX IV (NanoMAX) to obtain hands-on experience for using synchrotron source. The hands-on sessions will be paired with several sessions of data analysis in a workshop-like manner. As preparation for the course meetings, participants read the assigned literature.
