Coherent scattering opportunities in MAX IV for probing fluctuations and structural dynamics in condensed matter
Purpose and scope:
MAX IV is the world’s first 4th generation synchrotron light source, which provides unique science opportunities due to its unprecedented coherent flux. The purpose of this workshop is to create a user community that can benefit from coherent scattering techniques in MAX IV under the theme “fluctuations and structural dynamics in condensed matter”.
The scope of this workshop is to create a science case of coherent experimental techniques for probing structure and dynamics, such as X-ray Photon Correlation Spectroscopy (XPCS) and Coherent Diffractive Imaging (CDI) techniques. The program includes interdisciplinary presentations from world-leading scientists in coherent scattering techniques, including science areas like soft-matter, glass physics, biophysics, correlated materials and magnetism. In addition, there will be given short beamline updates from CoSAXS, NanoMAX, ForMAX and SoftiMAX with focus on coherent scattering techniques and science opportunities at MAX IV.
