MAX IV Student Poster Award

MAX IV Laboratory especially encourages posters from student participants.  The MAX IV poster session provides an unique occasion for a student to gain visibility for their work and ideas, facilitating their integration into the research community and allowing them to initiate/develop networking within the synchrotron radiation research community. Preparing a quality poster not only demonstrates the expertise in the subject, it also deepens the understanding of the topic and encourages active discussion with the student researcher.

All registered student posters will be considered for the MAX IV student poster award 2019.

Students presenting a poster are offered the possibility to present a two-minute clip of their work.  To be eligible for consideration for this, the student must indicate their interest and availability when completing the 31st MAX IV User Meeting registration form.

Selection of those student posters that will participate in the two-minute clip session will aim at including a good representation of research topics and affiliations.

During the poster session, a jury composed of three user meeting participants will visit each of the registered student poster entries. The responsibility of the elected committee is to evaluate the student´s posters and take the difficult decision of which poster will be awarded the MAX IV Student Poster Award.

The winner of the MAX IV Student Poster Award 2019 will be announced at the User Meeting banquet dinner, on Tuesday September 24th 2019.

As part of the award, the author of the winning poster will be welcomed to give an oral presentation at the plenary session on Wednesday 25 September and receive a monetary prize of SEK 5000.

The MAX IV Student Poster Award 2019 is sponsored by SPECS Surface Nano Analysis GmbH.
